Respect Tickets

In Becontree school, if we show respect then we get a respect ticket for showing our best behaviour. Then we go to assembly every day but on Monday our head teacher or deputy head will draw a winning ticket. If they call our name out we get to pick a prize. Respect tickets are given to us if we are good and we are listen to a teacher like Mrs Stonier and other teachers. When our names are called we all feel happy and excited. We have prizes like teddies, games and board games, face paints, art and craft and top trumps. We keep our prizes in a special glass cabinet that the head teacher or deputy head will unlock with a silver key. So now you know about respect tickets.

New Playground Equipment

In assembly we found out that we had new playground equipment to play with at lunch time. The best were the lolo balls because they are fun and it's all most like flying and the feather fliers because they can fly high and twist in the air.

Lolo ball and feather flier

We have to look after our playground equipment otherwise it will be taken away from us.

The feather flier and the lolo balls are easy to break because we saw one in a tyre, broken and we saw a teacher holding a broken lolo ball. Before we line up to go inside we have to put them back nicely and tidy in the box.

There are more than 2 people in charge of the playground equipment every lunch time. There are all sorts of different things such as mega jacks balls and many more.

To be able to get the playground equipment we have to make a line outside the small playground. Some times what happens is we lose them because we don't look after them properly. If you do break the equipment you will have to go home, show your parents and might have to pay for it.

Our Class Assembly

On the 16th of July we did an assembly on guide dogs. We introduced Mrs Weaver and her guide dogs Tex (Tracker's brother) and Maxie. Maxie has retied and is now Mrs Weaver's dog. All the year three classes have done cake sales to raise money for the guide dogs and in total we raised £341 so far. Class 1 still hve their cake sale to do tomorrow. Some people got the chance to stroke the dogs. To find out more, please look at our assembly PowerPoint above.
